Bibberne Row

Client: Stalbridge Developments Limited

Sitecrofts Role: Design, planning, building regulations, construction, in-house marketing and sales.

Scheme: This Greenfield development comprises three large four bedroom detached bungalows of Sitecroft's own design occupying plots of approximately 1/4 and 1/5 of an acre. The properties were unique at the time and there was a significant demand for new build bungalows from the first time retired market. The scheme was sold off plan with each property being individually tailored to the clients needs. A key feature was the underfloor heating system, an innovation which was highly successful on this development.

Mallets Close

Client: Sitecroft Limited

Sitecrofts Role: Design, planning, building regulations, construction, in-house marketing and sales.

Scheme: A scheme of four cottages designed in pairs in keeping with the character of the village, however, the properties were built using timber frame construction and clad in natural local stone to the front elevations with a balance of render and brickwork to the remaining elevations under a natural clay tile roof to give a period feel to the scheme. The covered parking incorporates oak framing, under a slate roof, to give an impression of an outbuilding added to the period feel of the scheme. The site was an old garage with contaminated ground condition problems, which required remediation before work commenced.

Old Market Mews

Client: Amberwell Estates Limited

Sitecrofts Role: Design, planning, building regulations, construction, in-house marketing and sales.

Scheme: The scheme comprised of redevelopment of a Local Authority car park in the conservation area of Stalbridge as well as the refurbishment of the Old Bank House, a key building off the High Street in Stalbridge. The Old Bank House was totally refurbished and converted from offices into three self contained apartments and marketed and sold off plan. The car park to the rear was redeveloped with a specialist retirement cottage scheme utilising natural stone and local materials with six individual properties being constructed by Sitecroft limited. These cottages where specifically designed with the elderly in mind due to the sites central location within town and Local Authority planning conditions. As a result reduced car parking was approved along with small but self-contained garden areas. The Scheme was designed so that occupants could live on the ground floor in the event that they were temporarily infirm. The scheme blends particularly well into the street scheme and conservation area due to its use of natural stone.
